Dr. Rinto Nakahara


   Dr. Rinto Nakahara is currently the president of Nanophoton Corporation. After graduated from Zhejiang University, China in 1979, he moved to Japan as a PhD student government-sponsored by Ministry of Education, Science and Culture (now MEXT: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology), and received his PhD at the Department of Aeronautics, University of Tokyo in 1991. He also received his MBA at Graduate School of Management, Globis University in 2008. He had been engaged in research at National Aerospace Laboratory of Japan (now JAXA: Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency) for 3 years, then taken on a job at a large manufacturer before getting the current position at Nanophoton in 2008.

   He is a preeminent leader and manager in Nanophoton, which is a nanotechnology venture company commercializing state-of-the-art scientific instruments by utilizing photonics, taking advantages of his knowledge and experience of engineering. His plan and action of growth strategy have greatly contributed to the start-up and the development of the corporation, which grows the company to be one of the successful university ventures. He leads Nanophoton so as to always stand at the frontier of time, continuously contributes to society with novel nano-technology and innovative nano-photonics products and achieve their belief: "We change the world with Nano and Photonics".
